Homemade Ketogenic Diet For Weight Loss

This is another article in my series of homemade herbal diets. Today, I will share some important information on weight loss being possible with ketogenic diet which is high in protein and fats and virtually no carbohydrates. According to medical science, carbohydrates lead to insulin release, which is a very potent inhibitor of lipolysis (breakdown of lipids making it impossible for body to burn out fat) which means more fat.

Also, diets which are very low in fat make you terribly weak, as your testosterone and many other hormones and other substances are made of cholesterol. Also note the fact that there are essential fatty acids and essential amino acids but no essential carbohydrates. Another important fact is that the human body can live a whole lifetime without carbs and have no deficiency symptoms. Now, I will simplify ketogenic diet for you. Get more than 200 grams of protein a day, 100 to 150 grams of fat and a lot of fiber and water and your diet is ready at home. Below you can see a perfect example of ketogenic diet plan:

1.    Breakfast: 5 egg whites + 2 yolks + 2 spoons cheese
2.    Lunch: Half chicken + full plate of salad
3.    Dinner/post workout:  15 g whey + 10 egg white + 2 yolks

That is it, no rice, no bread, no dal, no milk, and no fruits, absolutely nothing which is a known source of carbohydrates. Follow this diet for 3 weeks at the comfort of your home to get a state of ketosis and then you can have one cheat day per week for 3 weeks, and then one cheat week. The idea is to cut down all carbohydrates. But green leafy vegetables, carrots, etc. are fine as long as the veggies don’t have carbohydrates. So your perfect homemade ketogenic diet for weight loss is ready. Go ahead lose weight at home.
